About Me
A journey from writing code to leading teams, and back to creating
Personality & Philosophy
"Freedom" has always mattered most to me — being able to choose how to live, how to work, and how to be is what gives life meaning. I can be serious when it matters, but I'd rather not take things too seriously; life happens only once, so live it earnestly and make sure to enjoy it.
Over the past 15 years I've gone from engineer to PM to product marketing to deputy manager, and honestly none of those turns were fully planned. I just kept running into things I cared about — and once I care, it stops feeling like work and starts feeling like something I want to do well.
I believe things happen because people make them happen. When I hit limits or roadblocks, I still want to try. Not trying guarantees nothing; trying and failing still earns experience.
I like giving myself small challenges in daily life. I once spent two months walking around Taiwan on foot. I completed the Style Calendar daily reels challenge twice — remembering to post something every single day for 365 days is genuinely hard. And I'm now forcing myself to exercise daily for long-term health, 261 days straight and counting. None of these are big deals on their own, but over time they leave something behind and remind me what discipline and compounding actually feel like.
I love to travel. For me, travel is where I find inspiration, and life and work are where I realize it. I feel lucky to have caught the AI wave — it gives me the tools to slowly build out the ideas in my head piece by piece. That's the biggest reason why, halfway through life, I chose to become an independent developer.
Time is the most precious resource. If I'm going to spend mine on work, I really want to spend it alongside people I trust and who are genuinely aligned with me.
